Our Junior High kids, grades 6th – 8th, focus on Luther’s Small Catechism and prepare for their Confirmation. This provides the students an opportunity to personally connect with the promises made in their Holy Baptism. The Small Catechism provides brief, clear, summary of God’s Word on the essentials of the Christian faith. It focuses on six chief articles:
- Ten Commandments
- The Creed
- The Lord's Prayer
- Holy Baptism
- The Office of the Keys
- The Lord's Supper
After completing the requirements of the class, students are confirmed. This provides them the opportunity to make a public confession of their faith and celebrate their first Communion.
