Mobile Food Pantry

I have some very exciting news to share with you! God is on the move big time here at Christ. At our last WIC farmer’s market, I was approached by the director of the outreach arm of the Tarrant Area Food Bank. He mentioned that he has heard about all the wonderful things we are doing for our neighbors. Praise God for you! Even at the WIC markets, we are one of the only churches there, active and serving our neighbors and opening our building for them to cool down and to use restrooms. He also noted that in our area of Fort Worth, there is a great need for more food assistance in our community.

Given this, he asked us to become a mobile food pantry site for Tarrant county! We will begin this ministry on the Fourth Thursday of each month. Semi-trucks will bring tons of food from 5:00 to 7:00 pm to serve our community. This is a new time slot that will better help reach those who work during the day.

We need your help. We need volunteers to come as we as a church each month will be passing out items of our own to the community. Help will be needed at the various food stations. Corporations from around the area will bring volunteers as well. The Foodbank will be here too to run the site. We are here to serve! If your place of business wishes to serve one month, please let us know. Please remember, people only get to know our church through you! You are the living embodiment of the Kingdom of God. You being here is so important. We need you!

Please be on the lookout for more information to come. Please keep this in your prayers. Please ask God to show you how you can help. Monthly, we can expect upwards of 500 people to share the love of Jesus with! 500 people!!!!!!! Please, come and join us. I love and cherish you all and thanks for all you do.

God bless,

Pastor Travis
