Christ Lutheran members have a history of building and maintaining our church property. When the church was being built in 1996 much of the labor was provided by members. There are pictures of Ila Reinhardt pushing a wheelbarrow, members installing the sprinkler system, tiling the bathrooms, installing trim, etc. The communion rails, lectern, and baptismal were made by member David Gray. That tradition has continued through the years especially in maintaining CLC’s lawn. Over the past 24 years, there have been numerous workers both men and women who have taken the time to keep our extensive lawn looking good. They have freed hundreds of thousands of dollars that would have been spent on lawn maintenance for other CLC missions. Many served for a number years. Every year, life circumstances – health, age, job changes etc. means some team members are no longer able to serve in this capacity. The same is true this year. We need a number of replacement team members. This includes families as well as men and women.
It’s been a cold and recently wet winter, but spring will soon be here. With warm and sunny weather, the grass and bushes around church will come to life. Don’t pass up the opportunity to serve your church by contributing a few hours of your time once a month. We show the public how much we love the facility God has blessed us with by keeping our church grounds looking good. THE CHURCH HAS QUALITY EQUIPMENT for your use and COVERS THE COST FOR ALL SUPPLIES.
JOIN OUR TEAMS OF MOWERS. By working together, each of our four teams takes responsibility for the lawn one week a month. You can do your part any time during that week. By working together, it only takes a few hours of your time. If you are away on vacation, your team members will cover for you.
You will be joining a fun group and enjoy the great outdoors. We look forward to working with you!
