We believe in Baptism God’s grace is offered through the water combined with God’s Word. Through Baptism God gives individuals the forgiveness of sins, delivers them from death and the devil and gives eternal life to all who trust in these promises. We believe that faith can be created in all people at any age. Therefore, we recognize baptisms from all ages, infants to adults, because we believe that people of all ages need grace which is offered in Baptism.

We believe that in Baptism we receive the very death and resurrection of Jesus (Romans 6).  But certainly Baptism is not the only way to receive this gift.  The thief on the cross was saved, but apparently not baptized (Luke 23:43).  Jesus also implies in Mark 16:16 that it is not the absence of Baptism that condemns a person, but the absence of faith, which comes through the Holy Spirit. Still, Baptism is not to be neglected or avoided because the Holy Spirit promises to be actively working through it.
