What to Expect
What time & where?
Worship is held at 9:30 am every Sunday at our location in Southwest Fort Worth at 4409 Sycamore School Road. We also post our sermons online.
What kind of worship is it?
When you attend worship at Christ, you can be sure to find friendly faces. Our congregation is a welcoming family, open to all ages and stages of life. Our worship is uniquely Lutheran, with a traditional, liturgical feel mixed with both hymns and contemporary music. Here is a little more information about how our worship service is structured.
We use screens to help keep you connected to the words being spoken and sung throughout the service. In addition, we stand up and sit down several times throughout the service, but you can choose to stay seated if that is more comfortable for you.
What should I wear?
Those who come to Christ Lutheran dress in everything from jeans and shorts to skirts and suits. In the warmer months, folks will be much more casual. For special festivals like Christmas and Easter, we love to dress up!
Special services
Speaking of festivals, we follow a liturgical calendar, which means our worship focus has different seasons throughout the year. From December to May, the readings and teachings focus on the life of Jesus. From June to November, the focus is on the Christian life of following Jesus.
What about my kids?
We believe in families worshiping together in church. We have kids coloring pages and crayons available to help entertain them during the service. A tip from CLC parents: sitting on the sides of the sanctuary works well to contain kids in the pew since there is a wall to block one side. Noise and movement are welcome, but we do offer a nursery space and a private nursing room for those who need to step out with their kids for a little bit.
After worship, your whole family is invited to join us for coffee and donuts in our fellowship hall. It is a great time to get to know each other better.
