Before receiving the Lord’s Supper at Christ Lutheran…

St. Paul, in 1 Corinthians 11:27-29, urges us all to receive the Supper of our Lord in a worthy manner saying, “Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.”

Before coming forward to communion ask yourself:

Do I believe I am a sinner in need of God’s forgiveness?

Do I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior from sin?

Do I believe that as I receive the bread and the wine, I am receiving the very, true body and blood of Jesus Christ my Savior and by it my sins are forgiven, my faith is strengthened, and I have eternal life?

If you are confidently able, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to answer yes to these 3 questions, please join our family today as we feast on this Sacramental gift from Jesus Himself!

If you are unsure of these questions you are welcomed to come forward for a blessing (please cross your arms in front of your chest to indicate you wish to receive only a blessing.)

Welcome to our Lord’s Table!
